その奏でる音色は一聴して分かる様に唯一無二の存在感を放ち、彼の影響を受けたサックスプレイヤーは後を絶たない。アルトサックスプレイヤーとして、アンサンブルの中に溶け込む力強さと優しさを調和させたそのスタイルに加え、様々なアーティストでのレコーディングにおいてはブラスセクションのアレンジ力も高い評価を得ている。ソロ活動として勝田自身プロデュース、『JAFROSAX』名義でアルバムを4枚リリース。国内外及び多ジャンルにまたがり大好評を得る。2014年には待望の初のソロアルバム『Kazuki Katsuta』をリリース。このアルバムはAMAZONジャズチャート、itunesジャズチャート、オリコンジャズチャート日本人アーティストの全ての1位を獲得した。これまでに3枚のソロアルバムをリリースしてソロ活動も精力的に行なっている。

He has also gained a high reputation for arranging the brass section when recording with various artists. In his solo work, he released 4 albums with the project “JAFROSAX” which is produced by himself. In year 2014, he released his first solo album “Kazuki Katsuta”. This album got a number 1 rank at AMAZON jazz chart, iTunes Jazz chart and Oricon Jazz chart within Japanese artists. He released 3 albums in total and continuously work as a solo.
